WooCommerce shipping classes allow you to tailor the behavior of your shipping methods based on the products added to the cart.

For example, if you want your household appliances to benefit from free delivery from 60€, but your cosmetics from 40€ for France, you can use shipping classes to adapt your rules.

Just create a shipping class via the WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping classes page (in our example "Home appliances" or "Free shipping 60€"), then add it to your products in the Product data block and its Shipping tab of the product edit page.

You can then configure your delivery methods.

WooCommerce's native Flat rate delivery method takes this notion into account, as does the Boxtal Connect delivery method.

With the Boxtal Connect delivery method, you can configure the shipping classes at the level of each of the price rules. A price rule will then only apply to carts with all products in that class.
